Standing in line, time after time

Flynn said the storm is here

And it’s being presented

In the form of more election fraud talk

I guess you have to beat it into the minds

Of all who Still think their vote counts

They sit in the front row

Yet they need binoculars to see you

They need hearing aids to hear you

Their rose colored glasses are so cloudy

It’s hard to hear through the loudness of the matrix

There was never an aha moment for me

One that woke me up and shook me to be

I’ve just always naturally questioned everything

My mom cried when I said I didn’t believe in God

The one in the Bible was the only one I knew

That’s a man who abuses his power

To keep everyone in line to make us cower

And in line they stay

They continue to pray

Thinking that’s all they need to do

To keep their faith through and through

Meanwhile I can’t stand it

It’s getting harder to remain polite

To see them standing in line

Feeling uncomfortable cos I’m not in line too

Can’t talk to most of my family

It’s something you grow to get used to

Though that hole hurts it’s easier to let it go

Than to try and change who they are as people

They’re not like me that I’m only too used to

As a matter of fact I’m pretty sure I embarrass them

I was muted for so long

When I finally came out in song

It’s was by bursting through a bubble

So thick and made to cover

All my insecurities

My imperfections

Perfectly imperfect

In just the right ways

To make me who I am

Who I’m supposed to be

Holding my head up high

Even if lonely sometimes

I’d rather be alone

Than stand in line

My travels brought me here

I’ve met other lions in spite of the fear

So many with their heads in the sand

Made it easy to see the others shred

Truth hurts it’s meant to be respected

In the wrong hands in can really destroy

And still in the right ones it does that too

Truth is what I’ve had all my life

That kept me sane in the face of strife

People can be harsh when you threaten their every perception

I get that I’ve been wrong too

But my ego isn’t more important to me

Than the truth with all its reciprocity

It’s my sword

My shield

And my life

Sometimes I may be holding on too tight

I can’t help it

I’m drawn to it so

Like a magnet

Like 2 lovers do

I’m in love with the truth

And all it’s jagged edges

I live for it

Hold it high like a trophy

It’s one of my prized possessions

It’s a sport

Debater for life

Move aside

If you don’t want to read the books right

I don’t know everything

That’s ok I don’t have to

Though my brain is a transmitter

I’m still only human

Not AI

Not reptilian

A grey

Or even a Pleiadian

I’m just little old me

Rocking back and forth in this tree

In complete harmony

One with bugs, leaves, and seeds

Friends with fairies and the bees

I wish nature existed outside the cities

It’s so dead and defeated

More and more dying

I’m not lonely here

There are survivors with me

Surviving the epic disaster spread here

Going against the tides

Time after time

It’s my title while here

Ever ready for the lesson

That life has in store for me

My love for humanity, and for the planet, has set me on a path of healing through love, compassion, and understanding. I'm originally from a big city in the big state of Texas, making my personality quite large. I then landed in a small town that's out-of-puzzles gorgeous where people still wave at each other when coming across each other in the street. This transition has helped my development and tried relationships with distance and sacrifice. I have 2 beautiful boys, Silas and Declan, and their loving father, Curtis, who make my world go round. My political views all stem from wanting to protect this beauty in all its forms.
