Keep on swimming

Verbally inspired to bring you some noise

Hear it in the echos, hear it in your mind

Roaring thunder and savage rain

Feeling inspired to raise up with joy

Let go of what you think you know

All knowledge is someone’s opinion

What matters is how you act every day

I used to think it was the toughest who survived

Now I see it’s the clever who surpass

In just one instance life can change

We can begin to trust what’s within

You are not who you are perceived to be

But what you’re remembered for

Clap clap clap the lightning strikes again

Soaked, swimming, glaring at the drift

Firm but not fixed, in constant motion

Density, viscosity, state of being

Of seeing and feeling our way through

The smog and the clouds

Polluted as hell

But here we are making headway

We keep charging forward the only way we can

Don’t know where we’re going

But we’re shouting loud and proud

Standing on foundations of knowledge and research

Resources at our fingertips

Reading for hours on end

Charge forward evermore!

We’ve almost made our breakthrough

We’re tired I know

Discouraged and frustrated

Reassessing our priorities

We can’t swim for anyone else

But we do keep on swimming

My love for humanity, and for the planet, has set me on a path of healing through love, compassion, and understanding. I'm originally from a big city in the big state of Texas, making my personality quite large. I then landed in a small town that's out-of-puzzles gorgeous where people still wave at each other when coming across each other in the street. This transition has helped my development and tried relationships with distance and sacrifice. I have 2 beautiful boys, Silas and Declan, and their loving father, Curtis, who make my world go round. My political views all stem from wanting to protect this beauty in all its forms.
