No pain no glory

I hear a noise in my room

And when I come up to check

I hear a noise downstairs

Creaking the floor boards go

Climbing the underscore

There’s scratching and itching

And playing with my toes

Ring around the rosey

I suppose

The monster his eyes are green

There’s no light underneath

His breath it stinks

I can hardly breathe

Yet the fear it doesn’t come

He’s got hundreds of sharp teeth

He makes a noise that’s a screech

When he’s not stepping over his feet

He seems clumsy upon closer inspection

I recognize this pattern and direction

I’ve seen it before

Many times through interface doors

The screeching, you see

Is distracting and interrupting

The breath and the teeth are side effects from greed

But his eyes, they give him away

It’s stranger and darker

The longer you look

You even find answers you never seek

The abyss has no controller

But the follower doth trouble he causes

Making it seem like it’s ok over here

All to smooth out the edges

The great imperfections

Have to make robots out of us

Cos emotions they bleed

They offend listeners’ hearts

Take away the words they say

Replace them with actions of sex and greed

But I refuse, I say nay!

For with words I get carried away

I can’t walk away

From a good debate

Cos words they flow out of me

Like fairy dust in thy wake

Hear it and enjoy it

Don’t worry about my story

I’m human and in agony too

But I’m grateful I’m learning

I have love surrounding me

That’s all I need to get me by

So back to my story

That monster he’s gory

But it’s mirrors and special effects

Take those away and what do you get?

I don’t know

Get your popcorn

Let’s find out what’s next

My love for humanity, and for the planet, has set me on a path of healing through love, compassion, and understanding. I'm originally from a big city in the big state of Texas, making my personality quite large. I then landed in a small town that's out-of-puzzles gorgeous where people still wave at each other when coming across each other in the street. This transition has helped my development and tried relationships with distance and sacrifice. I have 2 beautiful boys, Silas and Declan, and their loving father, Curtis, who make my world go round. My political views all stem from wanting to protect this beauty in all its forms.
