A path is a path is a path

I don’t always feel like it

Though I always feel like it

How can my cursed feelings

Get in the way of my reason

How can I keep standing

When the wind keeps threatening

My stability

My courage

My strength

I know it was a man that said

That things don’t always go your way

That the cycle is a game rigged for

Spirit and the universe to accomplish

Their tasks

Get over the lack

We all have a path inlaid

We all have our strolls to make

Walking at night in the park in the dark

Is a glorious act most take for granted

There’s a path clearly marked

For all of us to walk

The destination is the point of this path

Yet I choose it not

For it’s not the destination

But the journey for us to enjoy

This game we call life

In strides as in like

Comes all together

Capitulating sorrow

Breaking down tomorrow

A peaceful rejoicing

Enchanted blossoms growing

Who was it that said it?

I can’t remember now

My memory fails me

Who is it I said?

Who was in my stead?

Who was in my head?

For now we keep going

Ever looking over my shoulder

Waiting for grace to unfold

For perfection to show its face

In the glory of life

I’ll keep mine that’s ok

I’ll do my part

That I say

I move on

Making my own paths in the grey

Even if that means

I don’t always get it

Merit is glory

When I’m telling my story

And you stop to listen

You could look away

Yet here you are

With me instead

To see what words will make you feel today

Is it a good start or a bad one?

Does your hair do what you say?

Is the traffic heavy today?

Does it all matter

At the end of the day

We bask in our glory

Our love that’s our own

Tended to grow

Maybe spiny and thorny

Maybe butter today

Either way that’s ok

Where love lies is the way

What we accomplish

How we feel

What we create

What we have to offer

That’s tomorrow’s gold

Save me some

I’ll be right there

My love for humanity, and for the planet, has set me on a path of healing through love, compassion, and understanding. I'm originally from a big city in the big state of Texas, making my personality quite large. I then landed in a small town that's out-of-puzzles gorgeous where people still wave at each other when coming across each other in the street. This transition has helped my development and tried relationships with distance and sacrifice. I have 2 beautiful boys, Silas and Declan, and their loving father, Curtis, who make my world go round. My political views all stem from wanting to protect this beauty in all its forms.
